The original song, “It Won’t Be Me,” is a story told in the first person while reevaluating the decision to receive the vaccine. The storyteller ponders the struggles faced during the pandemic, addressing many real-life concerns with compassion, kindness, and empathy. He finds comfort in his decision, realizing that feared consequences may be avoided and he can “be there” for those that count on him. Inspiration for the lyrics drew upon Jared’s personal COVID-related struggles and losses. Experiencing this song through video, he hopes listeners will be moved to consider getting themselves vaccinated.

Jared Rogerson
Jared Rogerson is a Wyoming singer/songwriter whose western roots have blossomed into a country vibe “…crafted to appeal to cowpokes who are equally comfortable with Chris LeDoux and Bon Jovi” – American Cowboy Magazine.
His career in music was delayed due to a focus on rodeo where he competed as a bareback bronc rider at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels. A final rodeo wreck spurred Jared into making music a priority. He now sports an L-shaped scar on the inner joint of his riding arm where the biceps tendon was re-attached. Not the worst of his injuries, but it occurred at a pivotal point in time, allowing him to escape with his life and the opportunity to live a different dream. He now applies that same grit and “try” he developed in rodeo to all aspects of his music career, and those life lessons are the subject of many of his songs. His well-crafted lyrics contemplate themes of choice and consequence with a hard honesty ranging from heavy to lighthearted. After 10+ years on the road, and with 5 albums under his belt, Jared has entertained audiences across 13 states and Europe.
